Booking & Retainers

A signed contract and 50% non-refundable retainer are required to secure your session or event date.

Your date is not reserved until both the contract and retainer have been received.

The remaining balance is due:

Portrait Sessions: 7 days prior to your session

Weddings & Events: 30 days prior to your event

Failure to submit the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services.

Retainer & Cancellation Policy

All retainers are non-refundable.

When you book with DC Photography, your date and time are reserved exclusively for you. Because of this, retainers cannot be refunded for cancellations.

If you must cancel, payments already made may not be refunded.

Rescheduling Policy

One complimentary reschedule may be granted with at least 48 hours notice.

Weather-related reschedules will not incur a fee.

Repeated reschedules or last-minute requests may be subject to a rescheduling fee.

Late Arrival Policy

Your session begins at the scheduled start time.

Clients arriving late will have that time deducted from their session in order to remain fair to other clients and scheduled commitments.

If you are more than 15 minutes late without communication, your session may be canceled and considered forfeited.

Turnaround Times

Portrait Sessions:

Up to 2 weeks

Mini Sessions:

1-2 weeks

Elopements:

3-5 weeks

Weddings:

4-8 weeks depending on season and collection

Sneak peeks may be delivered sooner at the photographer’s discretion.

Image Selection

Unless otherwise stated in your collection, clients will select their favorite images from a proof gallery.

Additional images may be purchased separately.

Full gallery upgrades may be available depending on the session.

Editing Style

By booking DC Photography, clients acknowledge they have reviewed the photographer’s portfolio and understand that editing style may vary slightly from session to session.

Every gallery is edited based on lighting, location, mood, and the vision discussed with the client.

No two galleries will look exactly the same, and that is intentional.

RAW Images

RAW/unedited images are never delivered.

RAW files are unfinished work products and do not represent the final quality or artistic vision of DC Photography.

Travel Fees

Travel outside of Corpus Christi may incur an additional fee.

Travel pricing is determined by location and will be discussed prior to booking.

White Backdrop & Studio Sessions

White backdrop sessions require additional setup, lighting, and editing.

A white backdrop fee may apply and will be discussed prior to booking.

Creative Control

The photographer retains creative control regarding posing, composition, editing, and final image selection.

Images not meeting quality standards (closed eyes, missed focus, test shots, duplicates, etc.) will not be delivered.

Social Media & Portfolio Use

DC Photography reserves the right to use images for portfolio, website, social media, marketing, and promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing by the client prior to the session.

Expedited Editing

Rush delivery may be available depending on current workload.

Rush fees begin at $75 and must be approved prior to booking.

Client Cooperation

The photographer is not responsible for missed images due to late arrivals, lack of cooperation from participants, weather conditions, venue restrictions, or failure to follow agreed-upon timelines.
